Feminist protesters disrupt march for life

An RCMP officer apprehended a radical feminist pro-abortion protester who attempted to climb the security gate at the March for Life in Ottawa on Thursday. She was one of four protesters arrested by the RCMP. At least two of the others were topless.  Their efforts however did little to disturb the peaceful pro-life rally that included talks from religious leaders, Members of Parliament, and Silent No More members who had experienced abortion. Contemporary Christian music kept the mainly young adult crowd in a spiritually joyful mood. The massive crowd that had gathered on Parliament Hill marched through downtown Ottawa on a predetermined route. Organizers considered the event a resounding success with roughly 25 thousand attending.  This is the 18th year for the annual March for Life in Ottawa.
