Liturgy Lines

I am working on a plan to integrate the propers into Masses at our chapel.

We are at a point where for the past couple of years we have frequently been without an accompanist of any sort.  The choir has also shrunk down to the point where there may be only one person leading music on a given Sunday.

My last article was about seeing people in the image and likeness of God.

This article will say more about that.

It has occurred to me with unusual clarity, over the past month or so, that we really do not have a firm grasp of how to treat people with respect.

Saturday evening Masses are a common event on the landscape of the Roman Catholic Church and have been for several decades.

 I have a chronic illness which is poorly understood and even after all these years is probably mis-diagnosed.  When I first started dealing with pain I was unable to ignore, I of course went to the doctor.  Being me, I also started to read up. Doc soon had me on antidepressants.

I have been teaching RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) this year for the first time in a few years.  It doesn’t take long for things to change, that’s for sure.

For the past few months, I have been working on my family tree.  In this I include my parents’ families as well as those of my husband.

I suppose it’s a seasonal thing…

RCIA is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. It is the process by which the unbaptized adult may enter the Church.

I am heading up the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults for our chapel parish again this year.  It is not exactly like “falling off a log” as I’d hoped.
